After School Club Announcement!
I’ve finally decided on the club that I will be running this year. It will be called the Creative Writing Workshop. In this club we will read various forms of writing (poems, short stories, fiction and non-fiction) selected by the club members and myself. We will also write creatively, share our work with one another and work toward polished publications. This club will be maxed out at 25, so sign up early! (To be honest, I really don’t think I’ll even get 25. An after school club where you learn something isn’t such a big seller with the 8th grade crowd. However, this club was a huge hit with my Freshmen in 2005)
Reminder: I have been approached by close to a dozen students regarding their passion projects. I am limiting myself to three students this year. Please write up a brief one paragraph proposal telling me about your project idea so that I can see if I can be of any help. Due to my former profession in the culinary arts- I will be more inclined to work with those students working in that field.
